Believe it or not, training camp is only 2 weeks away. You will all be arriving here along with about 40 Real Life participants to spend a week getting to know each other, getting to know some of your leaders, coming together as a team and being challenged to go deeper in your spiritual walk. We've got a great group of trainers lined up, I'm excited about you coming.
As some of you have heard, we now have 3 cabins on our property, which sleep about 30 each. Now, if you can multiply, that means we have places for about 90 to sleep. We're going to have about 140 in the camp, which means we'll need to have some of you sleep in tents. We haven't figured it all out yet, but just want you to be prepared that you may not get a bunk in the cabin, but might get the privilege of sleeping in a tent (the tent will probably be softer than the bunks!).
I also want to ask you to pack your bags so you only need to have one in your tent or cabin. We can store your other bag, but you will not have access to it during camp. We just don't have room for everyone to have all their bags in the tents and cabins.
During camp you will need good shoes (for such things as the climbing wall and other team builder initiatives), clothes you won't mind getting dirty in the Georgia red clay (it's not easy getting them clean), stuff for when it rains, clothes to do an outreach in the community, a sweatshirt for mornings, and other stuff you think you'll need. Shorts and t-shirts are fine during camp - just keep the shorts mid-thigh or longer.
We are all looking forward to meeting each one of you. Let's keep praying for each other, pray for some support issues that some are dealing with that God would provide every need out there. Let's keep our hearts tender before the Lord and open to whatever He has for us.
